Mojo Monday 220

I had so much fun following yesterday's card challenge I decided to do another one.   These are seriously addicting!  This was from the Mojo Monday Design Team

Here is their sketch...

Here is my design...

Once again this design is using products from the upcoming 2012 Occasions Mini catalog.  I will post pictures of the ribbon, brads, simply scrappin kit, and stamps in a few weeks.   For now here is a word for you the current stamp set I used.

I am sticking with this color theme from the Spring Fever Simply Scrappin Kit because eventually I am going to design a stamp class using this kit.   ohh what fun!

Happy Monday!!!

Gnome Sweet Gnome

I have seen the Pal Paper Arts ladies and have been planning for weeks to enter one of their challenges, I guess I just needed some motivation.   I just opened a Stampin Up box the other day containing a new set from the 2012 Occasions Mini.  I never would have picked this set out on my own... but I won it and now that I have gotten to hold it and use it I LOVE IT!!!
So, here is my first ever challenge card!  Pals Paper Arts Design team has weekly challenges, visit them Here.  This is the sketch for this week's challenge.
It was really fun trying to take the design and create something with it.  I'll post pictures of the Simply Scrappin kit and Stamp set soon!

Wish me luck!!!

Here is card 5:
I loved these candy cane stickers that came with the Christmas Lane Simply Scrappin' kit, so I had to use them on a card... they would be cute in a scrapbook too but who has time for that!!!  And for this card you don't even need to stamp anything.

Sneak Peek

Christmas Card Sneak Peek Day # 4

I know everyone has "Those" mornings.... where you actually start to consider going back to bed, and staying there all day hoping maybe you will have better luck with tomorrow morning.

Sadly, that was my morning. But, in full suck-it-up-mode I dragged myself out of bed and now realizing that the Christmas card workshop is only four days away I am shaking off my desire to stay camped out under my pillows and blankets of safety and I am motivating myself to get to work.

Here is your sneak peek for the 4th card we will be making....

This tree is one of my favorite Christmas tree stamps, it is from Season of Joy.

Now to brave the day ahead of me, it can only get better.... right??

And as you may have picked up on over the last few days, Christmas Lane Simply Scrappin' Kit (Item # 124007)

So this card uses the Pennant Parade stamp set and punch.... I love the little tree.  The ribbon is Cherry Cobbler and the card is Lucky Limeade.   The little "merry" stamp is from the Tiny Tags stamp set.  I made the trees by punching out 3 trees, folding them and gluing them like an accordion to make it pop out.

Inspiration

I recently discovered the Joy of Pinterest.  I have yet to decide if I head over heals in love with this amazing site or if I hate this time-sucking madness!  (ok, really I love it... I just need to find a way to freeze time so I can spend hours pinning and repinning and following, ahh.)
Here is what I was inspired to do today:
I stumbled across this lovely lady, Pink Buckaroo, and LOVED her Halloween Hand sanitizers (Pictured below)
And I had to create my own... so here is what I made:

This is a first attempt, so be kind... thing always get better with practice!
Peppermint Patty Hand Sanitizer, yummm  Bath & Body Works
This pattern was so easy to follow, but looks totally impressive
And the best part was that I got 5 hand sanitizers for $5.  Which means I have another 4 creative gifts coming your way!!!

Inspiration

Last night we went to our friends house for dinner.  We love these guys, my husband has been friends with them for like 13 years, I was lucky enough to inherit them when we got married.  I love being in her kitchen - she is always cooking something yummy!  She has her own magazine Mom Magazine and she has the best ideas ever!   It was my turn to make desert and I have done this recipe a few times before with great results..

Salted Carmel Brownies
I got this recipe originally from another hero of mine Pioneer Woman (if you haven't discovered her yet - she will change your life for the better)  Every recipe I have tried from her is AMAZING!!!

The Brownies were everything I could have ever hoped for and more.  I got home and felt some inspiration to create something so rich and simple and my stamping room was just calling to me.   So here's my creation
I used the Delightful Decorations Stamp Set (Item #116517)

They were such a fun group!  Here is what we made:

I used the ruffled ribbon technique here..
And the penguins are made from the Owl Builder Punch...

It was a such a fun group!  And I had a blast designing all these Christmas Cards for them, We also ate cookies and listened to Christmas Music (did you know there is a Christmas music station on Comcast all year long!)  Holiday season here we come!!!
